Ok - so generally for early start games you arrive and have the choice of
just about anywhere to park your car. Just a reminder to think carefully
where it is you are parking your prize beamer, jag, or merc, as although
you may be conveniently closer to all amenities (for that quick exit with
your guide dog) it's not always better... as I witnessed in round 1.
In the game I refereed on the final play the winning team #10, knowing time
had expired, punt kicked a low ball towards the sideline..which rocketed
towards the street (Griffith #2) and directly into the side mirror of a
ford station wagon. The thud and collective cries of "aaaawwwwwwhhhhhh - ha
ha ha ha ha" instantly told the story of the mirror and casing being
obliterated into about a 1000 pieces!
But it gets worse! (click on 'read more' on the right)

No more than 10 minutes later, in the game following, a beautiful kick at
goal sails over the black dot and into the windscreen of the car well
behind the deadball line. The result was one shattered windscreen. It was
about then that the vehicle owner decided it wasn't such a good vantage point
to watch the game and 3 other cars promptly vacated the area!
So that was a very expensive morning for 2 vehicle owners. So next time you
pull up to the field...think about how close you really want to park near
the field!"
