Dear Members
It is with much sadness that we report the passing of one of our past members. Bernie Sheville joined the Association in 1972, and remained a member until the end of 1986. During his time in ACTRRA, Bernie was active both on and off the field, and is remembered for his contributions to our organisation in the roles of Registrar, and Assistant Registrar, together his outstanding achievement of having refereed 117 First Grade games. During his time in the Association, Bernie achieved the double honour of being awarded both the BAR Trophy (1975), and the Jim Healy Trophy (1978). Bernie was a great Association man who served ACTRRA, and the Union well. Vale Bernie Sheville. Over 20 Referees conducted the first Official Fitness test of the year last night at Flinders Oval, with all hitting the desired marks. There is always room for improvement and there was plenty of determination shown by those in attendance. Well done to all. It was also great to see Peaky back even if it was just taking the scores.
