Representatives in the playing enclosure

​Good Morning,
 
As per the Competition Rules, we ask that Referees and Touch Judges please help to patrol and manage this on a week to week basis each Saturday. Ground Marshalls/Managers will ultimately be responsible for looking after this but if match officials can help with reminders when possible.
 
Please see below the official rule as per the Rules of Competition:  
 
 
44 REPRESENTATIVES IN PLAYING ENCLOSURE 
 
(1) A person must not enter the playing enclosure during a home-and-away match that is in progress unless the person
 
1. is a member of a team (including a reserve member of a team) participating in the match; or 
2. is the appointed referee; or 
3. is a touch judge for the match; or 
4. is a ball person for the match; or 
5. is 1 of 4 team support staff members for a team participating in the match; or 
6. has the permission of the referee to be in the playing enclosure. 1. a team coach; 
2. a team reserve; 
3. a team support staff member. 
 
(2) A person must not enter the field of play at the half time interval of a home-and-away match unless the person is one of the following for a participating team: 
(3) No person is permitted onto the field of play for the purpose of relaying playing instructions from a coach to a player. 
 
(4) In this Rule: 
team support staff means; 
1. No more than two medically trained personnel (certified doctors, physiotherapists or sports trainer only) and two water carriers (who may not be the head coach but may be assistant coaches), a total of four per team are permitted to operate from the designated technical zones. 
 
a. One of the medically trained personnel permitted to operate from technical zone may be positioned on the far side of the playing areas on the touch in opposite the technical zone and may move along the touch line. 
 
b. The second medically trained personnel permitted to operate from technical zone may be positioned on the near side of the playing areas on the touch in opposite the technical zone and may move along the touch line. The two medically trained personnel may not be together on one touchline 
 
2. a person providing on field support to a participating team who wears a Union supplied coloured vest (unless the club owns the appropriate coloured vest) who has previously made themselves known to the appointed referee for a match prior to the match’s commencement. 1. for a team from a club hosting a match (the home team)—a sleeveless vest approved by the Union predominantly orange in colour or another colour approved by the Union; or 
2. for a team from a club visiting another club’s home match (the away team)—suitable attire approved by the Union predominantly yellow in colour. 
 
Technical zone means; 
1. a 3m by 10m boxes painted between the 10m line and 22m line either side of half way or in front of your teams designated reserve bench. 
 
45 ROLE OF PERSONELL IN THE TECHNICLE ZONE 
 
(1) Water may only be taken onto the field during stoppages in play for injuries in the playing area, TMO referrals and when a try has been scored. 
(2) The two water carriers are not permitted in the playing area during penalty kicks at goal. 
(3) The water carriers must remain in the Technical Zone at all times unless they enter the playing area to provide water or when ONE enters to provide a kicking tee to a kicker at a penalty kick. Water carriers must not obstruct, interfere or aim comments at Match Officials. 
(4) Players may come to the touchline adjacent to the Technical Zone to receive water. 
(5) Water bottles must not be thrown on to the field of play. 
 
 
We ask your help with this, as the above rules are the now the same as Super Rugby Rules and the same rules we use for the whole Finals Series.
