![]() ACT RRA would like to congratulate one of our members, Colonel Damien McLachlan for his 2021 Australia Day Honour, receiving a Bar to the Distinguished Service Cross for outstanding devotion to duty as the Director Technical Regulation and Evaluation - Army in Logistics Branch, Army Headquarters.
As an explanation, a medal bar is a thin metal bar attached to a ribbon for an award already received by a person. When used in conjunction with decorations for exceptional service, such as gallantry medals, the term "and bar" means that the award has been bestowed multiple times. In this case, Damien has been recognised twice for his Distinguished Service. Congratulations Damien. Up Coming Events / Notices**** NEW UPDATE ****
