Training - Get fit to referee . . . . not referee to get fit!
Ethan Gumbrell, an active ACTRRA referee, has completed a Cert 3 in Fitness and is currently studying "Health science (Human Movement)".
These fitness sessions are available to all members of the association and should be utilised to commence and maintain fitness through the season. The key details are: Days: Thursdays 6.00-7.00pm. Venue: Brumbies HQ on the field behind the main building. Parking is free at UC (near building 29) after 5:30pm Trainer: Ethan Gumbrell Programme: Ethan will develop a tailored training programme designed for refereeing. As a referee, Ethan knows the impacts that refereeing has on the body and is experienced and well placed to provide a program suitable for pre-season and then ongoing fitness development through the season. It is extremely important for referees to be physically prepared for the season and it is expected referees to attend these sessions. |
